Butteriffic Bakery & Cafe - Memphis Made. Cookie Perfected. You Butter Believe It.
Butteriffic Bakery & Cafe at 488 S 2nd St - produces the best shortbread cookies we have ever tasted. For three years we lived across the street and smelled the Butteriffic smells wafting over. We decided if we ever realized our vision of a coffee shop, we wanted Tamika to be a part of it, and so she became the first person we talked to about Crazy Gander Coffee Company.
Partnering with Memphis businesses and creating that unique Memphis feel is a focus for Crazy Gander Coffee Company and you Butter Believe we are proud to partner with Tamika and team.
Tamika Heard has been in the bakery business
for two decades. Her parents are the founders
of Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies.
We bought her shortbread cookies for ourselves
and soon, as we do with all things we love, we
were buying tubs of shortbread cookies to share
with friends and family.

When planning our menu, we knew we had to
partner with Tamika on our one and only combo -
The Memphis (Butteriffic shortbread cookie with Crazy Gander drip coffee).

Julie’s Treats – Made with Heart. Delivered with Purpose.

Every week, Julie or Keith Schap drop off a fresh batch of homemade treats—each one more delicious than the last. What started as a sweet surprise has become a beloved tradition at Crazy Gander Coffee Company.
Julie isn’t just phenomenal in the kitchen. She’s a financial advisor, a classical musician and advocate of the arts in Memphis. She’s performed chamber music with violinist Wen Yih Yu, serves on the board of Iris Orchestra, and alongside her husband Keith—a fellow musician and artist—champions education, the arts, and the people of this city.
Julie and Keith have supported Crazy Gander Coffee Company since Day 1. They even launched our First Responder Account so that First Responders in uniform could enjoy a drink on the house. But for Julie, that wasn’t hands-on enough. She wanted to do something.
And so, she started baking.
Now, every time you buy one of Julie’s Treats,
you’re not just getting something delicious—
you’re an active participant in the First
Responder Account.
We love this partnership. We love Julie and
Keith. And we love how Memphis shows up
for Memphis.
If you haven’t tried Julie’s Treats yet…you’re in for something wonderful.

V’s Charcuterie – Memphis Flavor. Beautifully Arranged.

The first time we experienced V’s Charcuterie was during a surprise party we hosted for a friend right here at the coffee shop. We needed something decorative, beautiful, and delicious—a full grazing table that would wow our guests. Ve’Lyncea delivered all that and more. That night, her creations became the centerpiece of the celebration and the spark that started this partnership.
Our relationship with Ve’Lyncea goes back much further—we worked together at ALSAC/St. Jude, and we’ve had deep respect for one another ever since. She’s someone whose creativity, passion, and care shine through in everything she does, whether it’s her work in nonprofit marketing or her artistry in the kitchen and beyond.
Ve’Lyncea is a healthcare administration graduate, a certified project manager, a community leader through Peer Power Foundation, and a driven entrepreneur. V’s Charcuterie isn’t just about snacks—it’s about creating space for people to connect. Her boxes, boards, grazing tables and trays are bold, thoughtful, and always made with love.
Now, her beautiful spreads show up at Crazy Gander Coffee Company events and gatherings, making every occasion
feel a little more joyful—and a little more Memphis.
We’re proud to partner with Ve’Lyncea, and
even prouder to call her a longtime friend
and creative force in our city.

Our Approach to the Business Community
Whether walking up Madison Avenue and glancing through the open garage door, by coming inside for a coffee, or by following our story on social media; the 17-foot-tall map on the west wall of the building is hard to miss.
The wall application is a hand drawn/traced rendering of an original map produced by P.F. Collier and Sons in 1911. It shows a pre-World War I view of Memphis and a snapshot of how Memphis looked when 150 Madison was constructed. It was installed over the course of a few weeks and was a challenge due to its size/weight. It might also be the largest map of the city produced as its covers over 400 sq ft of wall real estate.
The map wall shows Memphis and 150 Madison Avenue in 1911 … Now in 2021, Crazy Gander Coffee Company is how we will make 150 Madison part of the modern business community.
Both potential suppliers such as Beneva Mayweather Foods and Butterific Bakery & Cafe or businesses looking to satisfy their catering needs can reach out to our team via phone, email or the below contact form.
This map appears in the Historic Memphis Maps collection at Memphis Library : Memphis Room. Rhodes College features the map image in their digital archives.
